FAQs

  • An initial assessment appointment lasts up to 45 minutes, and a follow-up appointment lasts up to 30 minutes. Should you require a longer follow-up appointment, this can be discussed.

  • During your initial assessment, I will ask you a variety of questions to get a detailed history of your condition/injury. I will then carry out a thorough physical examination to help determine a diagnosis, prognosis and help formulate a treatment plan. Follow up appointments will be more focussed on progressing your treatment.

  • Yes. I would like you to feel as comfortable as possible so it’s your decision.

  • To allow me to fully assess, I often need to see the area of the body that is affected. Wherever possible, please wear clothing that allows for this (e.g. vest top, shorts, baggy clothing) and clothes that are comfortable to move in.

  • This will depend on what your condition/injury is. It will be easier to give a more detailed answer following an initial assessment, but I am happy to discuss this prior to booking an appointment. I can always tailor your physiotherapy to suit your needs.

  • As a Physiotherapist, I have a professional and legal obligation to keep an accurate record of my interaction with patients. All medical records will be stored safely and securely.  These will be kept for eight years from the date of last treatment.
